Basic naming rules are required to help prevent duplicate pages. The site uses a system known as Soundex to try and identify these at the moment of page creation request. If an item is inextricably bound to a country then the standard abbreviation for the country must be in the name US Politics or FR Pop Music are examples. Some types of page have definite naming rules. See below.

Personal Pages - by this we mean pages which carry a persons name, whether its your name or anothers (ie movie star). These are invariably named First Name Last Name. Examples John Wayne or Marilyn Manson If the page is about a non-famous person (probably you!) then in addition to your name please add the place name of the main town your grew up in Examples: John Smith Toronto , John Smith Ontario, John Smith LittleRock, John Smith Osaka

Place Name Pages - such as your home town. These will be formatted as town name then the standard abbreviation for your country. Examples: Examples London UK or Colorado Springs US

School Name Pages - formatted as school name then town. Priory School Lewes, or Bronx Engineering and Technology Academy New York are good examples.

Website Pages - www then the name of the site with no punctuation. for example Google would be Www Google com, www.my-site-red.co.uk would be Www my site red co uk.

Pages for any other thing, event, animal or whatever can be named to suit. For example a page on your favourite rock band should be simply named after the band for example Marillion or Slayer. A fan club page for the band would be Marillion Fan Club. We wont allow stupidity like 'I hate Limp Bizkit' or 'Lady GaGa Sucks'. Why? Because you just go to the page for the band and say that if you want.
